Director, Commercial Strategy & Buying Programs

For our client, we are seeking a Director Commercial Strategy & Buying Programs to join the team of a leader in the Information Technology space. This role will drive marketing initiatives focused on growth, customer acquisition, brand performance, and measurable demand creation. You will collaborate with analytics, product, creative, and commercial teams to turn market insights into scalable campaigns, testing strategies, and performance improvements. The position offers the opportunity to directly influence customer engagement, conversion performance, and revenue growth within a technology-driven environment. Location San Francisco, CA - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $224,000 – $308,000 annually Responsibilities Define and scale global Enterprise License Agreements (ELAs) and bundling strategies Establish channel pricing strategies and discounting frameworks across partner routes Drive competitive pricing strategies and tactical deal programs to support sales success Optimize list-to-net price realization across various dimensions Collaborate with product leadership to propose new pricing strategies and business models Provide strategic recommendations to leaders and drive organizational alignment Support the Field with pricing positioning and tailored solutions for customer needs Develop training resources and playbooks for pricing enablement Operationalize commercial initiatives by liaising with various operational teams Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, Marketing, Business; MBA preferred 10+ years of experience in strategy consulting, pricing, strategic finance, corporate strategy, or deal strategy, preferably in SaaS or enterprise software 5+ years in monetization/pricing strategy, managing pricing waterfalls or enterprise buying programs Experience with analytics and BI solutions like Tableau Highly adaptable and action-oriented with independent working capabilities Exceptional communication and leadership skills for cross-functional initiatives Benefits Health, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) and flexible spending account Paid leave including PTO and parental leave Equity and bonus opportunities as applicable Comprehensive onboarding experience for new employees Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
