Unemployment Claims Assistant

The Unemployment Claims Assistant provides administrative support to the Unemployment Services team. Essential duties and responsibilities include processing and distributing inbound mail, email, cases, and inquiries. The role also involves facilitating outbound mail, maintaining client and claim data in Unemployment Tracking software, organizing and maintaining filing systems, updating various tracking systems, and ensuring timely entry of sensitive information to meet procedural deadlines. Additionally, the position assists with birthday and anniversary recognition, maintenance of team calendar, team meeting/event coordination and preparation, and may assist with special projects as assigned.

Knowledge, skills, and abilities required for this role include a strong drive to deliver exceptional client support to both external and internal customers, a flexible, positive attitude, and a dedicated team player and collaborator. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and follow-through are essential. The ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and proactively, both verbally and in writing, is crucial. Capability to learn multiple HRIS (Human Resources Information System) platforms and vendor partner platforms, along with familiarity with Microsoft Office applications, is also required. The drive to learn, grow, and contribute to the overall success of the company, and the ability to thrive in a modern, collaborative international environment, effectively using video conferencing, chat, email, and phone to maintain strong team communication, are key attributes.

Education and experience: High School Diploma or equivalent combination of experience, skills, education (including other relevant non-traditional degree programs, certifications, or job training programs) preferred. Prior work experience in an office environment is preferred but not required. Required licenses and/or certifications: None.
