Senior Accountant

Responsibilities

Kforce's client, a growing healthcare-focused organization located in the Saint Louis, MO area, is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its collaborative and high-performing accounting team. This fully in office position offers broad exposure to financial reporting, month-end close, audits, tax compliance, and accounting policy development within a dynamic, multi-entity environment. • Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close activities
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting
• Support financial statement preparation and analysis
• Coordinate and support external audits and tax filings
• Develop, document, and maintain accounting policies and internal controls
• Assist with multi-entity accounting and consolidation activities
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, efficiency, and reporting accuracy
• Participate in special projects, system enhancements, and process improvement initiatives
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business objectives and financial visibility

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• CPA strongly preferred but not required
• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Healthcare industry experience is a significant plus, but not required
• Strong public accounting experience highly preferred
• Solid understanding of GAAP and financial reporting requirements
• Experience supporting audits and tax compliance activities
• ERP system experience required; NetSuite experience is a plus
• Advanced Excel and analytical skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.


We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
