Job Title

Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 16-Week Assignment | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | 3 x 12-Hour Shifts | Expected 36 Hours/Week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit during night shift hours
• Monitor and interpret telemetry readings, responding appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions in accordance with physician orders and facility protocols
• Perform and document neurological assessments using the NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation throughout each shift

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of California or a compact license accepted by California
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
• Experience in a Medical Surgical and/or Telemetry setting

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel or contract nursing experience
• Familiarity with telemetry monitoring systems and cardiac rhythm interpretation
• Strong critical thinking and time management skills in a fast-paced acute care environment
