Construction Project Manager

Overview
The Construction Project Manager ensures that construction aligns with design intent and contract guidelines without compromising quality. This role involves overseeing field activities, managing scope compliance, and maintaining professional standards across multiple project sites.
Primary Responsibilities
Project Oversight: Supervise construction activities on assigned sites to ensure adherence to CAPTEC’S scope of services and design specifications.
Scope & Contract Management: Review project scopes; identify and document services requested outside of the approved scope to facilitate Change Orders or Additional Services requests.
Personnel Supervision: Manage field staff and alert leadership (President or Project Managers) regarding issues with jobsite safety, construction methods, or material substitutions.
Financial & Administrative: Review contractor payment applications to verify work completion; draft field reports, cost estimates, bid specifications, and construction contracts.
Coordination & Communication: Attend meetings with clients, regulatory agencies, and utility companies; coordinate sub-consultants (surveyors, environmentalists, etc.).
Quality Assurance: Perform quantity takeoffs and complete final project certifications to ensure ethical engineering standards are met.
Physical Requirements
Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
Ability to walk long distances, often on uneven surfaces, inclines, or slopes.
Capability to safely maneuver through stormwater, utility, and transportation construction sites.
Certifications & Qualifications
The applicant must hold the following FDOT certifications:
CTQP Concrete Field Inspector: Level I
CTQP Asphalt Roadway: Level I & II
CTQP Earthwork Construction Inspection: Level I & II
MOT: FDOT Intermediate or Advanced
Safety: Nuclear Radiation Safety
