Horizontal Mill Operator

Pay: $23–$27/hour, based on experience
Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 5:00 PM–3:30 AM
Shift: 10-hour shifts
Overtime: Opportunities available

HireCall is seeking an experienced CNC Horizontal Mill Operator for a night-shift opportunity with one of our valued clients. This position is ideal for a dependable machinist who can operate independently, make offsets, inspect their own work, and maintain quality with limited supervision.

Schedule & Benefits

• Monday–Thursday

• 5:00 PM–3:30 AM

• 10-hour shifts

• Two 10-minute breaks

• 30-minute lunch

• Onsite kitchen with refrigerator available for lunches

• Overtime opportunities available

Job Responsibilities

• Operate CNC horizontal machining centers

• Read and interpret blueprints and understand tolerances

• Inspect parts using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and other standard measuring tools

• Make tool wear and work offsets as needed

• Change inserts and perform basic tooling changes

• Monitor tool condition, part quality, and machine performance

• Make adjustments when dimensions begin to move

• Maintain accurate production and inspection records

Requirements

• Previous CNC horizontal mill experience

• Ability to make offsets without direct supervision

• Ability to inspect your own parts

• Basic understanding of cutting tools and common machining problems

• Dependable and comfortable working with limited support on night shift

Preferred Experience

• CNC setup experience

• Probing experience

• Ability to make minor program edits
