INSTALL LEAD

The installation technician ensures proper and safe installation of all equipment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Lead Installer Install new or replacement heating and air conditioning equipment and provide excellent customer service to residential and commercial customers. Interpret construction drawings, schematics, and cut sheets on site. Work on a variety of HVAC projects, including: Residential furnace, air conditioner, heat pump, commercial rooftop systems. Ductwork, condensate drains, venting, refrigerant and gas piping, and insulation. Line and low‑voltage wiring, controls, and programming. Brazing, threading pipe, soldering, welding. Prepare, test, and start up new HVAC equipment. Maintain a professional appearance and courteous manners when interfacing with customers. Explain the installed system to the client and confirm 100% satisfaction. Train installation assistants/helpers to work independently for maximum efficiency. Ensure safety consciousness on the job and while driving; verify assistants also work safely. Report to the HVAC Project Manager and follow all company policies and procedures. Installation Helper Assist the Lead Installer in installing new or replacement equipment and provide excellent customer service. Learn to work on HVAC projects, including: Residential furnace, air conditioner, heat pump, commercial rooftop systems. Maintain a professional appearance and courteous manners when interfacing with customers. Report to the Lead Installer (who reports to the HVAC Project Manager) and follow all company policies. Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma. Valid driver’s license. HVAC experience – minimum 2 years (or none required for entry role). HVAC knowledge. Customer service skills. Familiarity with furnaces. Strong work ethic. Physical Demands and Work Environment Climb up and down ladders and equipment. Lift heavy loads (50‑75 pounds); perform ladder work and tight‑space tasks as needed. Carry a minimum of 25 pounds consistently; carry up to 250 feet unassisted. Operate handheld power tools. Wear personal protective equipment. Work more than 40 hours per week, up to 12 hours per day. Work both indoors and outdoors; exposure to very hot or very cold temperatures. Work near hazardous conditions, equipment, and situations. Handle sharp tools and electricity that could cause cuts or burns. Wear safety attire such as goggles or other protective clothing. Be tolerant of sounds and noise levels that may be uncomfortable. Work in bright or inadequately lit conditions. Climb ladders, work from roofs, and use scaffolding. Work around exposed contaminants. Work in cramped spaces such as crawl spaces under floors.
