Sr. Product Manager

Our client is seeking a Sr. Product Manager to lead a portfolio of cybersecurity software focused on protecting sensitive data across endpoint and enterprise environments. This leader will own product strategy, roadmap, execution, and business outcomes across a portfolio spanning pre-boot authentication, full drive encryption, and centralized security management. The role also carries responsibility for government security certifications and product listings. This is a hands‑on product leadership position that sits at the intersection of customer needs, cybersecurity technology, engineering execution, regulatory and certification requirements, and commercial growth. The Role You will own product strategy and execution across three primary product areas: Pre-Boot Authentication (PBA): Solutions that authenticate users before the operating system starts and control access to encrypted devices and drives. Software Full Drive Encryption (FDE): Endpoint security software that encrypts data across a drive and requires authentication prior to operating system access, including support for multifactor authentication. Centralized Management Console: Enterprise software used to administer security policies, encryption keys, licenses, devices, deployments, and reporting across an organization. You will also lead the certification strategy for the portfolio, ensuring applicable security evaluations, cryptographic validations, and government product listings are incorporated into product planning and maintained throughout the product lifecycle. What You'll Do Own Product Strategy & Roadmap: Establish the multi-year vision and roadmap across authentication, encryption, and centralized management products. Prioritize investments based on customer needs, market opportunity, security requirements, certification dependencies, and engineering capacity. Drive Enterprise Management Capabilities: Guide functionality related to deployment, policy administration, key management, device visibility, licensing, and reporting. Translate complex security workflows into scalable, user-friendly administrative experiences. Lead Government Certification Strategy: Own strategy, budgets, schedules, and cross-functional coordination for applicable NIAP/Common Criteria evaluations, NSA Commercial Solutions for Classified (CSfC) listings, and FIPS 140-3 cryptographic validations. Determine appropriate certification requirements based on product capabilities and deployment models. Translate Customer Needs into Product Requirements: Engage customers and partners operating in highly secure and regulated environments. Understand deployment and operational challenges, including environments with limited or no connectivity, and translate those needs into prioritized requirements and measurable acceptance criteria. Partner with Engineering: Work closely with engineering teams on technical requirements, product tradeoffs, release planning, architecture considerations, security requirements, and delivery priorities. Drive Commercial Success: Partner with sales and marketing on positioning, pricing, packaging, licensing, competitive differentiation, and product launches. Ensure customer-facing teams can accurately communicate product capabilities, value, and certification status. Measure Product Performance: Track adoption, revenue contribution, deployment success, customer satisfaction, and certification milestones. Use data and customer feedback to adjust priorities and communicate investment needs and risks to leadership. What You Bring Product Leadership: Demonstrated experience owning product strategy, roadmaps, and business outcomes for cybersecurity, enterprise software, infrastructure, or similarly technical products. Experience managing multiple related products is strongly preferred. Cybersecurity Expertise: Strong understanding of encryption, authentication, cryptographic key management, endpoint security, and enterprise security administration. Government Certification Experience: Direct experience supporting or leading products through security evaluations, cryptographic validations, or government product listings. Familiarity with NIAP/Common Criteria, CSfC, and FIPS 140-3 and their respective purposes and maintenance requirements. Security-Focused Customer Experience: Experience working with government, defense, regulated industries, or organizations with demanding security requirements. Understanding of how procurement, integration, compliance, and operational constraints affect product adoption. Software Product Delivery: Demonstrated success delivering complex software products involving engineering teams, external partners, security requirements, and certification dependencies. Commercial Product Management: Experience developing business cases, prioritizing investments, and influencing pricing, packaging, licensing, positioning, and go-to-market strategy. Cross-Functional Leadership: Ability to align engineering, sales, marketing, customers, partners, and leadership around product priorities and tradeoffs. Executive Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present product strategy, technical tradeoffs, business cases, and program risks to technical and executive audiences. Relevant Technical Background: Degree in computer science, engineering, cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Highly Relevant Experience Experience in one or more of the following is strongly preferred: Windows and Linux security software Smart-card or multifactor authentication Encryption/key management Enterprise security management platforms Disconnected or limited-connectivity environments Government cybersecurity certification processes What You Can Expect This is an opportunity to take broad ownership of a technically sophisticated cybersecurity software portfolio.
