Description

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics through both standardized assessments and careful observation.
• Create individualized treatment strategies that address immediate objectives and longer-term communication or swallowing goals.
• Deliver one-on-one speech therapy that targets an array of areas including communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing capabilities.
• Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team of physical and occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, caregivers, and families to develop a seamless continuum of care.
• Provide education to patients and their families to encourage ongoing support and progress beyond therapy sessions.
• Conduct occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions, ensuring a holistic approach throughout the treatment continuum.
• Uphold meticulous documentation practices that comply with state, federal, and organizational regulations.
• Stay informed on the latest advancements in speech-language pathology through continuous education and collaboration with peers.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
• Successful completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet certified by ASHA.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Therapist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within 30 days of starting employment.
