Speech Language Pathologist SLP
Shape Lives Through Communication in the Picturesque Bluegrass State – Become a Speech Language Pathologist
Imagine a career where your expertise gives voice to those in need. As a Speech Language Pathologist in the heart of Lexington, your role transcends the mere treatment of communication and swallowing disorders. Here, your work will be a catalyst for unlocking potential, restoring dignity, and fostering genuine human connections — whether it's helping a child articulate their first words or assisting an elder in reclaiming their ability to converse.
This position offers an extraordinary chance to engage with a diverse population spanning from the youngest to the most senior clients, combining the vibrancy of outpatient therapy with select inpatient responsibilities. If your heart lies with pediatric speech development, adult neurogenic disorders, or geriatric assessments, you'll discover both satisfaction and a supportive environment to flourish.
Conduct comprehensive evaluations across pediatric, adult, and geriatric groups utilizing both standardized testing and detailed observation.
Create tailored treatment protocols that address immediate goals as well as longer-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements.
Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions that focus on language, voice, fluency, and swallowing challenges.
Engage in collaboration with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, and family members to formulate unified care approaches.
Provide guidance and educational resources to patients and families, extending support beyond the therapy room.
Participate in infrequent inpatient evaluations to ensure seamless transitions and continuity of care.
Keep thorough and precise documentation in accordance with all governing standards and regulations.
Embrace ongoing professional development through continuous learning and teamwork.
A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is not yet obtained.
Active state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
Preference given to those with the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the ASHA.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be completed within the first month of employment.
Strong command of evidence-based practices for a full range of age groups, with a rich understanding of developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing challenges.
Exceptional interpersonal skills for building rapport with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
Flexibility to modify therapeutic approaches based on varying cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
Sharp clinical judgment paired with effective problem-solving skills.
Proficient in electronic health records and related documentation processes.
Attractive salary aligned with your experience.
Flexible work scheduling allowing for a harmonious work-life balance.
A chance to focus on specialized areas like pediatrics, adult neuro rehabilitation, or geriatrics.
Generous paid time off (PTO) along with holiday compensation.
Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, and life insurance offerings.
Opportunities for continuing education reimbursement and professional growth.
Supportive, team-oriented atmosphere dedicated to delivering quality care and promoting lifelong learning.
A Journey of Impact Awaits — and Takes You Places
In this role, your efforts will extend beyond traditional speech therapy -- you'll actively contribute to a mission of empowering voices, enhancing communication, and creating moments of happiness through fundamental human interactions: understanding and being understood.
Surrounded by a team that embraces collaboration over rivalry, you will not only support your patients but also grow alongside colleagues who value each other as family. Every individual possesses a narrative; we empower you to influence how they express it.

Whether you're igniting your career or seeking new horizons in practice, you will find ample opportunities for advancement — both in your personal life and professional journey.
Whom We're Seeking
We're on the lookout for a Speech Language Pathologist whose drive stems not just from clinical achievements but also from compassion. You could be someone who sees the quietest child and envisions a lifetime of expression or hears the hesitant words of a stroke survivor and recognizes the tenacity within.
If your expertise lies more in pediatrics but you're eager to expand into adult therapy, or if you focus on neuro rehabilitation and wish to incorporate childhood interventions, we would welcome your unique perspective.
Whatever your journey, if you're prepared to blend skill with heart, we are ready to embrace you.
Let's Collaborate on a Beautiful Narrative — Together
If you see speech as more than just sound, and therapy as more than tasks — if you believe in cultivating trust as much as achieving goals and finding humor in the healing journey — this could be the pivotal chapter in your career journey.
Join us in a community that truly values communication, connection, and the fearless spirit it takes to start anew. Apply today to add your voice to our mission — and help others discover their own.
