Description

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric clients using standardized assessments and your keen observational skills.
• Create tailored treatment plans that meet both immediate and long-term goals for communication, cognitive function, or swallowing challenges.
• Deliver individualized speech therapy focused on improving language, fluency, voice quality, and swallowing capabilities.
• Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams, including physical and occupational therapists, caregivers, and families, to develop holistic care approaches.
• Provide resources and education to patients and their families to support progress beyond therapy sessions.
• Assist with inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions on occasion, maintaining continuity of care for patients.
• Keep meticulous documentation in compliance with all necessary regulations and standards.
• Commit to ongoing professional development through continuing education and teamwork.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• Valid state license as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within 30 days of employment.
