Responsibilities The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice and directs/teaches patient/family and other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care in the ICU. The RN is directly responsible and accountable for the care given to assigned patients. The RN communicates with the physician about changes in the patient’s clinical condition, including hemodynamic monitoring, diagnostic results, and symptomatology. The RN must respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment, maintaining patient privacy and confidentiality. Qualifications Education, Experience, Training Current and valid state RN License. Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current. Completion of Critical Care Course preferred. Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire. Current ACLS certificate within 30 days upon hire and maintain current. Minimum of one year as a staff RN in acute care hospital, critical care preferred. Critical Care RN (CCRN) Certification preferred. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred. Compensation for this role is estimated at $40.41 to $69.32 per hour, including wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation. Final compensation will be based on skillset, experience, education, and credentials.
