Embeds control tissue and cuts control slides to maintain an adequate control library. Performs preventative maintenance and quality control procedures, including oiling and cleaning microtomes, cleaning processors, and changing staining solutions. Ensures appropriate use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to maintain employee safety at all times. Maintains case identification and ensures appropriate tracking throughout the entire process to ensure patient safety.
