Programming Assistant (Activities)

$20.32 per hour

Position Overview Neville Place in Cambridge, MA is seeking a patient, innovative programmer who is creative, friendly, compassionate, and organized to assist the Program Director in creating, scheduling, and implementing programs for our senior residents. The role is based at 650 Concord Avenue, Cambridge, MA. Available Shifts Monday & Tuesday: 10:30 AM – 6:30 PM (memory care) Wednesday – Friday: 10:00 AM – 4:30 PM (assisted living) Pay & Benefits Rates start at $20.32 per hour. Help implement and coordinate a balanced daily programming schedule for 7 days per week. Support coordination of entertainment, including guest lecturers, musicians, and fitness instructors. Participate in scheduled outings, ensuring residents’ safety during transportation and off‑site activities. Support the development of a monthly newsletter, take photos, and update social media. Requirements Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Therapeutic Recreation, Education, Social Work, or related field preferred. Minimum of 1+ year experience working with elderly and/or Alzheimer’s populations. Physical ability to stand, sit, bend, and transfer residents with or without assistance. Strong communication skills with residents and co‑workers. Punctuality and reliability, as residents depend on consistent support.
