The Foreman will oversee small teams of 5-10 workers on commercial construction projects, primarily coordinating efforts to ensure quality and safety while adhering to project schedules. Reporting directly to the Project Manager, the Foreman plays a crucial role in reading blueprints and HVAC duct design drawings, applying building codes appropriately, and maintaining effective communication with clients, vendors, and co-workers. This position requires strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and relevant certifications including a valid driver’s license and safety training.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead a small team of 5-10 construction workers.
• Coordinate project tasks to meet schedule and quality standards.
• Perform quality control and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Manage daily work schedules and resource allocation.
• Interpret blueprints and HVAC duct design drawings accurately.
• Maintain professional communication with clients, vendors, and team members.
• Conduct training and certify workers on equipment like forklifts and lifts.
• Provide regular reports to the Project Manager on project progress and issues.
• Occasionally travel to other construction sites as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in construction supervision.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of construction management, blueprint reading, and project scheduling.
• Familiarity with safety compliance and building codes.
• Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and time management skills.
• Ability to understand HVAC design and ductwork specifications.
• Valid driver's license and current CPR, First Aid, and equipment operation certifications.
