To continue our standard of excellence, Piedmont is seeking a dependable, motivated, and knowledgeable leader to join our team as the Manager, Advanced Qualifications Program (AQP). The Manager of AQP helps maintain the AQP Manual and is responsible for all AQP data and auditing. The objective of the position is to ensure a safe and reliable training program in accordance with the Code of Federal Regulations and AC 120-54A. The successful candidate will have a thorough understanding of AQP based training, data collection, and data analysis. This position reports to the Director, Flight Training and Standards.Essential Duties:Maintain a regulatory compliant AQP data processHelp maintain a three volume AQP manualEnsure a safe and proficient pilot group using data collection and analysisMonitor trends in the training program to predict the need for future changes to the AQPServe as a line of open communications between the Training Department and the AQP DepartmentAttend Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) meetingsInterface with the staff, instructors, and check pilots of the Flight Training departmentParticipate in the Safety Risk Management program and the Operations Data Analysis GroupServe as a subject matter expert for AQP management, curricula design, and AQP regulatory complianceTake a lead role in the IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) and Department of Defense (DOD) audit processJob Qualifications and Competencies:Proficient with common database software and applicationsProficient with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe publishing softwareA thorough understanding of AC 120-54A and the Subpart Y section of the Code of Federal RegulationsHigh degree of skill with curricula development and computer-based training solutionsAvailable to work independently and prioritize tasks to maintain completion schedulesPreferred Qualifications:Prior employment in a training related positionPrior employment with a Part 121 airlinePrevious experience with pilot training programsPrevious experience with database managementWork Environment:Standard office environment, use of telephones, computers, and other office equipmentOccasional travel, able to spend nights away from home when company or FAA meetings are out of basePhysical Requirements:Occasional lifting up to 25 poundsFrequent stooping, bending, kneeling, walking, reaching, lifting, climbing up and down stairsThe above statements provide a brief description of the general nature of work performed and are not intended to be a complete list of responsibilities, duties, and skills required for this position.
