Welder Join a growing job-shop environment as a Welder, performing a mix of TIG and MIG welding on mild steel, aluminum, and stainless steel to produce a wide variety of custom metal parts and display components. You will work from blueprints in a fast-paced setting, contributing to diverse projects and collaborating closely with a skilled fabrication team. Responsibilities Perform TIG (approximately 60%) and MIG (approximately 40%) welding on mild steel, aluminum, and stainless steel components. Read and interpret blueprints to understand project specifications, dimensions, and weld requirements. Set up, operate, and adjust welding equipment and tools to ensure high-quality welds and consistent output. Measure and verify materials using tape measures and other tools to maintain accuracy and adherence to design requirements. Work on a variety of projects in a job-shop environment where parts and assignments can change regularly. Collaborate with fabrication and production teams to complete jobs efficiently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting. Inspect finished welds for quality, accuracy, and adherence to safety and company standards. Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper handling of sheet metal and other materials. Follow all safety procedures and guidelines while operating welding and fabrication equipment. Adapt to changing priorities and project requirements while maintaining a high level of craftsmanship. Essential Skills 1+ year of experience in TIG or MIG welding in a production or fast-paced welding environment. Proficiency in MIG welding on mild steel and other common metals. Proficiency in TIG welding, particularly on stainless steel, aluminum, and mild steel. Ability to read and interpret blueprints accurately. Experience working with sheet metal in a fabrication setting. Strong tape measure and basic measurement skills for precise layout and fit-up. Comfort working in a fast-paced welding and fabrication role. Ability to follow safety protocols and operate welding equipment responsibly. Additional Skills & Qualifications Technical degree or formal training in fabrication or welding. Experience with both MIG and TIG welding processes. Experience in general metal fabrication and working with updated shop equipment. Ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse, bilingual team. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Saint Michael, MN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $32.00/hr.
