POSITION: Food & Beverage Supervisor DEPARTMENT: Food & Beverage REPORTS TO: Food and Beverage Manager / Assistant Food and Beverage Manager FLSA STATUS: Hourly, Non-Exempt Job Overview Fishers Event Center has an excellent and immediate opening for a part‑time Food & Beverage Supervisor. The role requires supervisory skills, customer service, a positive attitude, food preparation knowledge, and overseeing all areas for day‑to‑day operation. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Ordering, receiving and preparing food items Maintaining food costs and budget goals Ensuring all locations are fully stocked prior to every event Attending in‑house event‑related meetings and relaying immediate changes with other departments Ensuring all requisitions to the Warehouse and Kitchen are received in a timely manner, in accordance with Company policy Coordinating with Kitchen on the timing and production of food preparation Possessing effective communications skills to liaise between Kitchen and Warehouse Teams Possessing effective communication with NPO Groups, bartenders, third‑party subcontractors, and concession employees Overseeing production of retail food operations to prepare for peak and slow periods Troubleshooting point‑of‑sale equipment Inventory and quality controls Handling and properly responding to guest concerns Working hours vary by show to include days, nights, weekdays, and weekends Maintaining all concessions and bar equipment; adhering to cleaning and sanitation schedule Supervisory Responsibilities Directly supervises all concessions personnel and NPO staff; carrying out supervisory duties in accordance with company policies and applicable laws. Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The following are representative of the knowledge, skill, and ability required: Serve‑Safe certified Education and/or Experience At least 1 year of supervisory experience in a retail food establishment Must possess a valid Indiana Server Liquor License and certificate of completion of Indiana Excise training courses Skills and Abilities Advanced oral and written communication skills Strong orientation to customer service and ability to work with other staff members in the facility Results‑oriented with ability to meet required budgetary goals Excellent organizational, planning, communication, and interpersonal skills Ability to undertake and complete multiple tasks Computer skills, including Excel Adherence to local Health Department codes Working Conditions Location: Fishers Event Center Physical Demands The position requires substantial daily activity, including standing for 8+ hours, walking 30,000+ steps, lifting up to 50+ pounds, and manual dexterity to operate office equipment such as a computer.
