Certified Clinical Perfusionist (CCP), 4 Openings, VA Medical Center, Gainesville, FL

D’Lylah LLC is an SBA-Certified Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB). We provide healthcare services to the Department of Veterans Affairs. We are building a team of four Board Certified Perfusionists to care for veterans at a VA Medical Center in Gainesville, Florida.

This position is contingent upon contract award. It is a long-term role: a base year plus up to four option years. The anticipated start is January 2027, following VA credentialing.

What You’ll Do

\n
• Prepare, operate, and maintain the heart-lung machine, intra-aortic balloon pump, centrifugal VAD, and autotransfusion pump
\n
• Support cardiothoracic bypass and valve replacement surgeries
\n
• Support ICU patients on IABP and ECMO
\n
• Maintain a sterile field and patient blood volume, and prevent shock and air embolus
\n
• Review the surgeon’s plan of care in the EHR before each case
\n
• Document care to VA standards, including SF-518 transfusion records
\n
• Check and compute all perfusion, autotransfusion, and cell saver calculations
\n
• Take part in quality improvement, peer review, and quarterly staff meetings
\n

Schedule

\n
• Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (40 hours/week, 2,080 hours/year)
\n
• Shared 24/7 on-call rotation, including federal holidays
\n
• Must be able to reach the facility within 30 minutes while on call
\n

What You Bring

\n
• Current ABCP certification as a Certified Clinical Perfusionist (CCP), with continuing education up to date
\n
• Graduate of an accredited perfusion program
\n
• 10+ years of clinical perfusion experience
\n
• 1,000+ clinical cases performed
\n
• Hands-on experience with each of the following:
\n
• – open heart surgery
\n
• – autotransfusion
\n
• – heart-lung machine
\n
• – membrane oxygenation
\n
• – left/right heart bypass
\n
• – IABP
\n
• – centrifugal VAD
\n
• Full, unrestricted license(s) wherever held, and an individual NPI number
\n
• Current BLS (ACLS preferred)
\n
• Fluent written and spoken English
\n
• Ability to pass:
\n
• – VA credentialing and privileging
\n
• – a federal background investigation
\n
• – E-Verify
\n
• – OIG exclusion screening
\n
• Proof of immunizations: TB, MMR, varicella, Tdap, annual flu, and Hepatitis B
\n
