BGE goes beyond competitive benefits to attract and retain the best in an environment that inspires excellence.Job ResponsibilitiesPerforms non-routine and complex assignments from verbal instructions and under minimal supervisionUtilizes advanced CAD skills to visualize and portray complex designsProvide project design for various types of land development and other projects with minimum direction from the Project Manager and Project EngineerCreate Plan and Profile DrawingsPrepare full sets of final construction plansPrepare cost and quantity estimatesWorks closely with design engineers and Project Managers to complete project plans and detailsReviews work performed by CAD Technicians I and II before submitting to Project EngineerJob Requirements7 years of computer drafting experience utilizing Autodesk Civil 3D with strong working knowledge of CAD manual drafting techniques and standardsGrading and drainage plan preparation experience requiredTechnical degree or certification in CAD is preferredStrong knowledge of construction plan preparation for residential land development and/or commercial site development, including determining drawing sequence, details and presentationUnderstanding of site construction standard practicesGIS experience is a plusKnowledge of utility plan design and utility plan preparationStrong attention to detail with exceptional thoroughness for plan designAbility to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environmentAbility to manage, mentor and train more junior level team membersSome of our Benefits:401k Match: 100% up to 4% of your contributions with immediate vesting + 3% Safe Harbor Contribution with immediate vestingMerit-Based Bonus CompensationMedical, Dental, Vision Insurance; BGE contributes to HSA on eligible plans9 paid Holidays, including 3 Floating holidaysPersonal Time Allowances2 to 4 weeks of Vacation, depending on experience-level.
