Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Med/Surg Tele FloatThis role involves working night shifts of 12 hours from 19:00 to 07:30. You will be expected to float across multiple departments and specialties. You will care for complex and dynamic patient populations in medical and surgical units. The position requires high-quality, evidence-based care utilizing critical thinking skills. You will evaluate and assess patients, recognize and escalate complications, and administer appropriate nursing interventions. Demonstrating a commitment to patient and family-centered nursing care is essential. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including nurses, assistants, therapists, and medical teams. You must be willing to float to neuro and oncology units if needed. You will be required to pass a telemetry test prior to starting the assignment. Maintaining effective communication skills and delegating tasks as necessary is crucial in this role. You will be responsible for managing patient care involving telemetry and various medical procedures. Expected patient ratios are 4 to 5 patients per night shift.
