Details Med/Surg Tele unit within an acute care hospital setting Night shift, 12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM), 3x per week Every other weekend and holiday rotation required Floating required as needed Uses Epic charting system Involves telemetry monitoring (on-unit and remote) Requirements Active WI RN license or compact RN license required BLS certification required (AHA only) Minimum 2 years of acute care experience within the last 3 years in the specialty required Epic charting experience required Must pass a telemetry competency exam prior to starting, with strict passing criteria for adult and pediatric rhythm interpretation Skills in IV therapy, phlebotomy, central/PICC line management, and blood product administration required Experience with respiratory care including BiPAP/CPAP, oxygen administration, and suctioning required Experience with GI care including ostomy and feeding tube management required Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation/management, and rapid response protocols required Knowledge of isolation precautions, wound care, and renal failure management required Additional Information Provide comprehensive med/surg and telemetry nursing care including medication administration, cardiac monitoring, and wound care Located at a Magnet-designated teaching hospital ranked as the top hospital in Wisconsin Teaching hospital and Trauma Level I experience preferred Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted References should not be included with application materials First-time travelers are not accepted for this position American Traveler Job ID P-750072.
