Every other weekend and holiday rotation required. 4:1 patient ratio. Highlights: Specialized transplant unit caring for kidney, pancreas, and liver transplant recipients and living donors Magnet-designated academic medical center recognized as a leading transplant program Epic charting system with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams 32-bed unit providing post-transplant care to patients from across the United States Strong team-based environment with opportunities to work alongside specialized transplant multidisciplinary teams Travel assignment with telemetry competency validation required prior to start Requirements: Active Wisconsin RN license or Compact RN license Minimum 2 years of acute care experience within the last 3 years required Epic charting system experience required BLS certification required (American Heart Association only) Telemetry experience with remote monitoring capabilities Must successfully pass telemetry competency exam (80% or higher, 100% accuracy on lethal rhythms and 3rd-degree heart blocks) Trauma Level I experience preferred Core competencies: telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia management, IV therapy and central line care, blood product administration, post-operative surgical drain management, wound care, BiPAP/CPAP, feeding tube management, colostomy/ileostomy care, pre/post hemodialysis management Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only) Must reside 50 miles from the facility Floating to other units as needed Why It's a Great Opportunity: Join one of the nation's premier transplant programs at a Magnet-designated facility ranked as Wisconsin's top hospital.
