Job Details Position: Registered Nurse – Med/Surg Telemetry Employment Type: Travel Nursing Assignment Shift: 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM Hours: 36 hours per week Contract Length: 13 weeks Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,070 - $2,180 Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend; holidays on rotation Orientation: 24 hours Start Date: October 12, 2026 Location: Madison, WI Job Requirements Active Registered Nurse license required BLS certification required, AHA only Minimum 2 years of acute care inpatient RN experience within the last 3 years 3 years of recent Heme/Onc/BMT experience strongly preferred Level I or Level II trauma experience required, or experience in a similar high-acuity hospital setting Epic charting experience required Telemetry testing required prior to start with strict passing criteria Experience with chemotherapy certification or oncology nursing preferred Strong clinical skills in managing complex patient populations Responsibilities Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care for adult and geriatric patients on a med/surg telemetry unit Monitor telemetry rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition Care for patients with hematology, oncology, stem cell transplant, and palliative care needs Administer chemotherapy, blood products, IV medications, and supportive therapies per protocol Access and manage central lines and implanted ports Perform comprehensive head-to-toe assessments and ongoing reassessments Support patients undergoing bone marrow biopsy, stem cell transplant, and cellular therapy treatment Collaborate with physicians, providers, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver safe, coordinated care Participate in quality improvement efforts and evidence-based practice initiatives Float as needed in accordance with unit and facility needs Why Travel Nurses Choose This Opportunity Competitive weekly pay for a travel RN med/surg telemetry role High-acuity clinical experience in a leading healthcare setting Opportunity to grow your nursing career in Madison healthcare Work with complex oncology and transplant patient populations Apply now to join a respected healthcare team and take the next step in your travel nursing career in Madison, Wisconsin.
