Details Med/Surg Tele unit within a Magnet-designated teaching hospital Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00-07:30 Every other weekend and holiday rotation required Floating required as needed Uses Epic EMR Requirements Active WI RN license or compact RN license required BLS certification required (AHA only) Minimum 2 years of acute care experience within the last 3 years in Med/Surg Tele specialty required Epic EMR experience required Must pass a telemetry exam prior to starting, including lethal rhythm identification and heart block criteria Skilled in IV therapy, phlebotomy, central line blood draws, and PICC line management Experience with respiratory care including BiPAP/CPAP, oxygen administration, and suctioning Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation/management, and rapid response protocols Experience with wound care, isolation precautions, and PPE use Experience with GI care including feeding tubes and colostomy/ileostomy management Experience with medication administration including heparin, insulin, and PCA Additional Information Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted References are not required for consideration Traveler experience not required, first-time travelers may be considered Teaching hospital and Trauma Level I experience preferred Parking permit required if parking onsite, alternative transportation options available American Traveler Job ID P-750069.
