Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused Retail Customer Service Assistant to provide hands-on assistance to customers and support daily sales and service activities. This position involves helping customers navigate product selections providing information about available merchandise and ensuring individuals receive attentive service throughout their shopping experience.

The Retail Customer Service Assistant will work directly with customers to answer questions explain purchasing options and assist with routine transactions and service requests. The ideal candidate is friendly organized and comfortable balancing customer interactions with day-to-day responsibilities in a busy customer-facing environment.

Key Responsibilities

Welcome customers and offer assistance as they explore available products and services.

Help individuals locate merchandise and identify suitable product options.

Answer questions regarding product specifications features and general availability.

Provide clear information about pricing current offers and purchasing procedures.

Assist customers in comparing products based on their needs and preferences.

Support customers throughout the purchasing process.

Help complete routine sales transactions and related documentation.

Explain applicable return exchange and service policies when relevant.

Respond to basic customer concerns and assist with finding appropriate resolutions.

Refer complex questions or service issues to the appropriate team member.

Maintain familiarity with featured merchandise and newly introduced offerings.

Assist with arranging and replenishing product displays and informational materials.

Ensure pricing information and promotional signage are accurate and visible.

Help maintain clean organized and accessible customer service areas.

Monitor product presentation areas and communicate supply needs to colleagues.

Provide additional assistance during periods of increased customer traffic.

Support promotional activities and featured product introductions.

Coordinate with team members to ensure consistent customer coverage.

Follow established procedures for customer service transactions and product handling.

Complete additional sales support and customer service tasks as assigned.

Requirements

Bachelors degree or 12 years of experience in retail customer service sales hospitality or a related field.

Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

Friendly approachable and professional demeanor.

Ability to understand customer needs and recommend appropriate options.

Comfortable explaining product features pricing and purchasing information.

Strong listening skills and attention to customer questions.

Good organizational skills and attention to detail.

Ability to manage multiple responsibilities in an active environment.
