QE Automation Lead (Selenium/Playwright)

About the role As a QE Automation Lead (Selenium/Playwright), you will make an impact by driving quality engineering initiatives through robust test automation, end-to-end validation, and continuous quality improvement practices. You will be a valued member of the Quality Engineering team and work collaboratively with product owners, developers, business stakeholders, and global delivery teams. In this role, you will: Design, develop, and maintain scalable automated test frameworks using Selenium, Playwright, and BDD technologies such as Cucumber . Drive end-to-end testing across UI, APIs, databases, batch processes, and integrated enterprise workflows. Define comprehensive test strategies, test scenarios, test data requirements, and quality assurance approaches aligned with business requirements. Lead test planning, execution, defect management, reporting, release validation, and quality sign-offs. Collaborate with onshore and offshore teams to enhance test coverage, automation effectiveness, and overall quality engineering maturity. What you need to have to be considered Strong hands-on experience in Quality Engineering and Test Automation within Agile software development environments. Expertise in Selenium and/or Playwright for UI automation testing. Experience with BDD frameworks such as Cucumber or equivalent test automation frameworks. Hands-on experience validating REST APIs, database testing using SQL, and end-to-end workflow testing. Experience with Jira, Git, Jenkins, Bitbucket, and CI/CD-driven quality engineering practices. Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to proactively identify and communicate quality risks. These will help you stand out Experience leading or coordinating testing activities across distributed global teams. Knowledge of test automation framework design and best practices. Experience with Oracle database validation, data reconciliation, and backend testing. Exposure to modern DevOps and continuous testing methodologies. Passion for continuous improvement, automation optimization, and quality engineering innovation.
