Responsibilities Intravenous catheter placement and venipuncture Administer drugs (IV, SQ, Oral) Perform radiographs Assist doctors with patient care, including obtaining blood and laboratory samples, patient restraint, and client education and communication Provide care to hospitalized patients and discharging patients after care is complete Conduct dental prophylaxis and dental radiographs Surgical preparation, monitoring, assisting, and recovering patients Collaborate in a team environment Qualifications Two years of previous veterinary technician experience Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Experience assisting in surgery Ability to lift 50+ pounds 1 weekend day required (+$2 shift differential) Benefits Exceptional compensation Competitive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance Tuition reimbursement (in an accredited Veterinary Technology program) Retirement: 401(K) with employer match Paid time off (PTO) and paid holidays Training and career development Paid license fees and dues Generous continuing education allowance Paid VTS specialization #J-18808-Ljbffr
