The Human Resources Generalist will play a key role in the administration, communication, and continuous improvement of employee benefit programs, including health and welfare plans, retirement programs, leave administration (FMLA), and total rewards. This role serves as a primary resource to employees, ensuring a high level of support and understanding of available benefits.

You will make an impact in this role by:

• Administering and supporting all employee benefit programs including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and voluntary benefits
• Managing 401(k) retirement plan processes, including enrollments, contributions, and employee education.
• Acting as a primary point of contact for employees regarding benefits questions, eligibility, and claims resolution.
• Coordinating and supporting open enrollment, including employee communication, meetings, and enrollment tracking.
• Supporting payroll processes related to benefit deductions, 401(k) contributions, and benefit-related reporting

Leave Management (FMLA & Disability)

• Administering FMLA and other leave programs, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
• Coordinating with employees, managers, and third-party administrators to manage leave cases and documentation.
• Tracking leave usage and ensuring proper integration with payroll and benefit continuation.

Compliance & Reporting

• Ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations (ERISA, ACA, FMLA, COBRA, etc.).
• Maintaining accurate records and preparing reports related to benefits, compensation, and headcount.
• Assisting with audits, filings, and ongoing compliance requirements.

Employee Experience & Communication

• Developing and distributing clear, employee-friendly communications related to benefits and total rewards.
• Conducting new hire orientations with a strong focus on benefits education and enrollment.
• Partnering with HR leadership to enhance benefit offerings and improve employee engagement.

Requirements

To be considered for the HR Generalist role, you must have the following minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field
• 3+ years of HR experience with a strong focus in benefits administration and leave management.
• Working knowledge of FMLA, benefits programs, and HR compliance regulations
• Experience with HRIS/payroll systems (Paylocity preferred)
