Job Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric age groups using established assessments and observational methods.
- Craft individualized treatment plans designed to meet both immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives.
- Deliver focused, one-on-one speech therapy interventions targeting language, fluency, voice, and swallowing impacts.
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team comprising physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, families, and caregivers to ensure seamless care pathways.
- Provide educational resources to patients and families to facilitate growth and progress outside of therapy sessions.
- Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions, ensuring a consistent approach throughout the treatment process.
- Maintain precise and prompt documentation compliant with state, federal, and organizational policies.
- Engage in continued professional development through ongoing education and teamwork.
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY), focused on delivering high-quality care, if not yet ASHA certified.
- State licensure as a Speech Language Therapist .
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is highly desirable.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of employment.
- Expertise in evidence-based treatment modalities for patients of all ages, with a deep understanding of both developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
- Strong interpersonal skills - able to connect with patients, their families, and a diverse care team.
- Adaptability in therapeutic techniques to honor diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds among clients.
- Sound clinical judgment and adept problem-solving capacities.
- Familiarity with electronic medical record systems and documentation protocols.
