Maintenance Supervisor

Woodland Park Academy Maintenance Supervisor Employer Genesee Education Consultant Services, G-6235 Corunna Rd # C, Flint Twp, MI 48532 Reports To Academy Administrator Job Function Manages building, grounds, and equipment upkeep, leading custodial staff, overseeing budgets, developing preventative maintenance programs, handling emergency repairs, ensuring safety compliance, coordinating projects, and managing vendors for the Academy’s entire facility. QUALIFICATIONS and General Requirements High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required Experience in building maintenance, facilities management, or construction. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of building codes, safety protocols, and maintenance best practices. Valid driver's license and willingness to work flexible hours. While performing the duties of the job, the employee is required to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 30 pounds, and occasionally assist in lifting and/or move in excess of 30 pounds Subject to a Criminal Records Check as required by Board Policy Essential Duties and Responsibilities Leadership & Management: Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate custodial teams; set departmental goals; foster teamwork and safety. Facility Operations: Direct daily maintenance, repairs (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, structural), and groundskeeping for the Academy. Preventative Maintenance: Establish and manage preventative maintenance programs to optimize asset performance and minimize reactive repairs. Budget & Procurement: Administer department budgets, manage purchasing, control inventory, and negotiate with vendors. Project Coordination: Oversee and coordinate maintenance and renovation projects with the administrator. Safety & Compliance: Ensure adherence to all local, state, and federal safety, health, and environmental regulations; manage alarm systems. Emergency Response: Respond to after-hours alarms and emergencies, ensuring prompt resolution. Facilitate summer deep cleaning, painting, and floor maintenance. Perform all other duties as may be required by administration. BENEFITS Starting Hourly Rate $16-18/ hour. Medical, Dental, Optical, and Insurance options available.
