Create Pathways to Communication in the Dynamic City of Grand Prairie Join Us as a Speech Language Pathologist
Imagine embarking on a career that not only enhances your professional life but also enriches the lives of others truly transformative! As a Speech Language Pathologist in the vibrant landscape of Grand Prairie, your efforts will extend beyond addressing speech and swallowing disorders. You will play a vital role in unlocking potential, instilling confidence, and fostering connections whether guiding a child as they utter their very first words, or assisting seniors in reclaiming their independence.
This is more than just a job; it's an incredible opportunity to support individuals across all age groups in settings that beautifully intertwine outpatient therapy with intermittent inpatient care. Whether your enthusiasm lies in nurturing childhood language development, addressing adult neurogenic communication impairments, or facilitating cognitive-linguistic rehabilitation for the elderly, your passion will flourish here.
Conduct thorough assessments of patients spanning from pediatric to geriatric populations by applying both standardized tests and observation-based strategies.
Design tailored treatment approaches that target immediate goals while addressing longer-term cognitive, communication, or swallowing challenges.
Deliver focused, individualized speech therapy interventions that encompass language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary care team, including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, and the families of patients to establish unified care plans.
Provide education and resources to patients and their families to encourage progress beyond therapy sessions.
Support occasional inpatient evaluations and therapy interventions to ensure seamless care throughout each patient's journey.
Ensure that documentation is precise and adheres to both state and federal standards.
Continuously expand your knowledge by engaging in professional development and collaborative learning opportunities.
A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) for those not yet ASHA-certified.
State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 30 days of starting employment.
Expertise in evidence-based strategies across a diverse range of ages, coupled with a solid foundation in both developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
Exceptional interpersonal skills to connect with patients, families, and fellow healthcare professionals.
Flexibility to adapt treatment strategies to respect various cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
Strong clinical acumen and the ability to navigate challenges with creative solutions.
Proficient in using electronic medical records and comprehensive documentation techniques.
Attractive salary package based on experience.
Flexible working hours to promote a healthy work-life balance and accommodate a variety of patient needs.
Specialization opportunities in areas such as pediatrics, adult neurological rehabilitation, or geriatrics.
Paid time off (PTO) along with holiday compensation.
Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, and life insurance options.
Financial support for continuing education and professional growth.
A team-oriented work environment that prioritizes quality patient care and the value of ongoing learning.
Discover a Career That Inspires and Invigorates
In this role, you'll have the chance to do much more than deliver speech therapy; you'll be an integral part of a community-focused mission that breathes life back into voices, fortifies connections, and generates joy through the simple but profound essence of communication.
You will join a supportive network of clinicians who regard one another as family, all in a culture that champions collaboration over competition. Each patient's journey is unique, and we're counting on you to help narrate it in the most empowering way.

Who Fits Our Vision
We are on the lookout for an empathetic Speech Language Pathologist who is as much driven by compassion as by achieving measurable results. You should be someone who envisions what a child could communicate one day, or who sees the potential for recovery within the struggles of a stroke survivor.
You may be a pediatric expert eager to explore adult therapies, or perhaps a specialist in neurological disorders wishing to embrace pediatric practices no matter where your interests lie, if you are committed to serving with heart and demonstrating leadership through expertise, we want to hear from you.
Join Us in This Meaningful Journey
If you perceive speech as a bridge rather than just sounds, and if you hold therapy as a trust-building process rather than a task, then this may be the perfect opportunity for you to rewrite your career narrative.
We invite you to be a part of a culture that celebrates communication, connection, and the resilience needed to embrace new beginnings. Apply today and lend your voice to our mission helping others discover theirs!
