Description

• Assess patients from pediatric to geriatric populations utilizing standardized assessments along with observational methods.
• Formulate personalized treatment plans that tackle short-term objectives as well as long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements.
• Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions focusing on communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
• Partner with physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to craft cohesive care strategies.
• Provide education to patients and families to bolster progress outside of therapy sessions.
• Support occasional inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions, ensuring seamless continuity of care throughout the healing process.
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in accordance with state, federal, and organizational regulations.
• Keep abreast of advances in the field through ongoing education and collaboration with peers.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is not yet obtained.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of starting employment.
