Protective Services Armed Officer

This position is responsible for the daily functions of the Security Department as well as insuring the safety and security of CRMC's employees, patients, visitors and property and the performance of other tasks relating to the welfare, safety and security of the medical center and its satellites.

Additional Education Requirements

High School Diploma / GED required with post secondary education / experience in criminal justice preferred.

Additional Certification Details
• State of Tennessee Armed Security Guard license required within 15 days.
• Must complete the first two IAHSS levels of certification and other required training within the first 12 months of employment or promotion.
Driver License Requirement:
A valid driver's license is required to perform vehicle perimeter patrols.
Motor vehicle violation requirements:
• No more than (2) Minor Violations or at fault accident in the past 12 months.
• No more than (3) Minor Violations in the past 3 years.
• No Major Violations in the past 3 years.
• No suspended, expired, revoked, or other status indicating the driver is not licensed.
• No one will be permitted to drive a hospital vehicle who is an inexperienced driver (less than 3 years of driving experience).

Additional Experience Requirements

Must be 21 years of age and have a minimum of one year military, law enforcement, armed security experience, or possess a specific skill that would benefit the department and hospital. Exemplary CRMC Protective Services job and training performance and State of Tennessee Armed Security license accepted in lieu of other experience.
Customer Service Experience is preferred.
