Job Title: CNC Machinist Job Description

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our team in Stow, OH. This is a direct placement position offering a flexible schedule with a start time between 6 am-8 am. Initially, you will be required to work on the 1st shift as we build out our 2nd shift. The workweek is a minimum of 50 hours with 10-hour days.

• Review work orders, blueprints, and engineering drawings to determine setup requirements and machining sequence.
• Set up machines by installing tooling, fixtures, and work-holding devices.
• Adjust machine parameters including speeds, feeds, and offsets to achieve required specifications.
• Run manual and CNC equipment to produce precision components.
• Perform in-process and final inspections using precision measuring instruments to verify quality.
• Troubleshoot dimensional issues and make adjustments to maintain print tolerances.
• Document production results, inspections, and any non-conformance findings.
• Conduct basic machine maintenance and communicate equipment concerns to supervisors or maintenance personnel.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with company safety and 5S standards.
• Assist with training operators on machine operation and basic setup procedures.

• 2-4 years of machining experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to independently set up and operate manual and/or CNC equipment, including lathes, mills, and drill presses.
• Strong blueprint reading skills, including interpretation of GD&T, engineering drawings, and work orders.
• Experience selecting tooling, fixtures, and work-holding devices for various machining applications.
• Proficient with precision measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and bore gauges.
• Understanding of machining fundamentals including speeds, feeds, depths of cut, and tooling applications.
• Ability to identify dimensional issues and make machine or tooling offset adjustments to maintain tolerances.
• Experience holding tight tolerances of ±0.005" or better.
• Ability to accurately complete production and quality documentation.
• High School Diploma or GED.

• Technical school, vocational training, or machining certificate.
• CNC turning and/or milling experience with controls such as Fanuc, Haas, or similar systems.
• Familiarity with G-Code programming and CNC troubleshooting.
• NIMS Certification.
• Experience with First Article Inspections (FAI) and Statistical Process Control (SPC).
• Knowledge of cutting tool materials, coatings, and machining strategies for various metals and alloys.
• Previous experience mentoring or training machine operators.

The role requires standing and walking throughout shifts on a manufacturing shop floor, with frequent bending, reaching, and lifting up to 50 lbs. You will be exposed to machine noise, metal chips, coolants, lubricants, and cutting fluids. The use of personal protective equipment including safety glasses, steel-toed boots, and hearing protection is required.

This is a Permanent position based out of Girard, OH.

The pay range for this position is $40000.00 - $55000.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
