Location and Start Date Hyde Park, Massachusetts Starting Date: Aug 12, 2026 Compensation and Benefits Salary: $61,812 to $98,899 per year Benefits: 90% health insurance coverage and student loan repayment assistance Job Overview We are hiring an Elementary English as a Second Language (ESL) teacher for the 2026‑2027 school year at 100 Poydras St., Hyde Park. The role requires a valid ESL license issued by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education and current U.S. work authorization. Responsibilities Provide co‑teaching, instructional and inclusion support in general education classes containing multilingual learners. Deliver targeted language interventions to multilingual students in small‑group settings. Use ELD levels and formative assessments to guide instruction and achieve language acquisition goals. Manage language acquisition programming: paperwork, teacher professional development, parent and student communication, testing/screening administration, and compliance with state requirements. Communicate regularly with families about student progress via phone, text, email, and in‑person meetings. Collaborate with staff to disseminate best practices for building language in the classroom. Maintain high academic and behavioral expectations and provide support for student success. Participate in Match’s coaching and professional development programming. Assist with school programming during non‑instructional time (e.g., arrival, lunch, dismissal). Serve as a positive, collaborative member of the Match community. Qualifications At least two years of full‑time experience as an ESL, classroom, or special education teacher, preferably in an urban setting. Valid ESL license issued by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, or ability to obtain it by date of hire. Commitment to student success and continuous improvement of teaching practice. Proven record of student success and achievement.
