This contract role focuses on supporting students aged 18–21 at a specialized transitions center, helping them develop critical job readiness and life skills both in the classroom and in community settings. The position offers a full-time schedule with on-site responsibilities and an opportunity to truly shape the future for a dedicated group of learners.

Qualifications & Preferred Experience:

• Valid Colorado Department of Education (CDE) license, or currently in the process of obtaining (Applicants must submit an active license or documentation with their resume)
• Minimum of one year classroom experience
• Experience or expertise working with transition-age special education students, particularly ages 18–21
• Strong collaborative skills and adaptability to work as part of a dynamic team
• Competence in writing and implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), Behavior Support Plans (BSPs), and collecting/analyzing student data

Responsibilities & Primary Duties:

• Teach job readiness and independence skills to students, preparing them for life beyond school
• Provide instruction both in a classroom setting and within community environments to foster real-world skills
• Develop, implement, and maintain IEPs and Behavior Support Plans in compliance with outlined requirements
• Accurately collect data, track student progress, and adjust goals as needed
• Work closely with colleagues and support staff to customize learning experiences for each student
• Maintain open, positive communication with families and related service professionals
