Make a meaningful impact supporting K-8 students as a Special Education Teacher on a contract basis. This full-time position offers the opportunity to foster growth and development for a diverse group of learners in a collaborative and supportive school environment.
Your expertise will play a key role in shaping individualized education plans and delivering dynamic instruction tailored to students’ unique needs. Work closely with fellow educators, staff, and families to cultivate an inclusive atmosphere that champions each student’s potential.
What We're Looking For:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification
- Prior experience in K-8 special education settings
- Strong understanding of IEP processes and compliance
- Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Passion for advocacy and facilitating student success
Role Responsibilities:
- Design and implement individualized instructional plans aligning with student IEPs
- Assess and monitor student progress, making data-informed adjustments as needed
- Facilitate a supportive, structured learning environment
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation and records
- Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and staff
- Advise and communicate regularly with families about student progress and needs
- Participate in IEP meetings and professional development as required
