Job Description As a Security Officer Patrol Coverage Coordinator in New York, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Shelter, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a residential shelter location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support residents, staff, and visitors with strong customer service and communication. Position Type Full Time Pay Rate $17.00 / Hour Job Schedule Mon: 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM Thu: 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM Fri: 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM Sat: 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM Sun: 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM What You'll Do Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and staff by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the building, common areas, entry points, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity, maintenance concerns, and/or security-related issues. Monitor entrances, exits, and authorized access points to help support site rules, verify permitted entry, and guide residents and visitors in a respectful, professional manner. Assist with de-escalation support, observe resident and visitor activity, and communicate with staff and/or emergency services when conditions call for additional response. Minimum Requirements Be at least 21 years of age. CPR certification is preferred. A guard card or license is preferred. Access control and badge experience is preferred. A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
