Data Governance And Risk Management

The Data Governance and Risk Management (TDGRM) team is a dynamic first line function, with a focus on ensuring effective and forward-leaning oversight of all areas of Data and Tech risk management for Capital One's Financial Services line of business. We are searching for the right candidate to be part of our Data Quality team, working closely with the LOB teams to ensure the Corporate policies for data quality requirements are executed and well managed. The data quality team would be responsible to build, execute and maintain data quality standards for high priority usages such as the Stress Test and AML and all data that is produced by the LOBs to ensure we are effectively implementing Data Risk Strategy for Capital One. The team will work closely with the Enterprise management team to ensure the standards are met stated in the policies.

Implement and monitor Data Management controls for Line of Business systems and data; identify and remediate related process or control gaps in the data quality space. Execute, monitor and analyze data quality metrics and reporting; derive insights and identify targeted Line of Business improvements. Perform root cause analysis for data issues identified during data quality execution and provide findings to the LOBs for remediation. Able to present analysis results as trend charts and other reports to give LOBs valuable insights. Proactively identify process and automation improvements for Data Quality practices. Perform unit tests and conducting reviews with other team members to make sure code is rigorously designed, elegantly coded, and effectively tuned for performance. Share your passion for staying on top of tech trends, experimenting with and learning new technologies. Collaborate effectively across multiple organizations and roles including Line of Business data SMEs, technical teams, Business Risk Offices and Risk Management Lead and execute specific operational initiatives and projects as assigned using cloud based technologies. Develop controls to ensure process is well-managed and requirements are met as required by Policies.

Driving the identification of risks, associated controls and their treatment, within the individual areas of FS Data and Tech organizations, informing decisions of Accountable Executives. Providing governance around the Risk Reporting for TECH (internally and externally) ensuring key messages are understood and actions are underway, providing risk input, context and challenge.
