Summary: San Antonio Winery Paso Robles is looking for an experienced Sous Chef to help lead our kitchen team and deliver exceptional food experiences for our guests. The ideal candidate is a hands-on culinary professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, values quality and consistency, and is passionate about creating memorable hospitality experiences.

Responsibilities:

• Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies.
• Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff.
• Clean up the station and take care of leftover food.
• Stock inventory appropriately.
• Ensures consistency of recipes and taste standards while maintaining established flavor profiles and correct protein temperatures.
• Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion.
• Comply with nutrition, sanitation regulations and safety standards.
• Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers.
• Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
• Communicate any quality issues or general issues to Head Chef/Owners as needed.
• Able to work in a high volume and fast paced environment.

Qualifications:

• Proven cooking experience, minimum of 3 years
• Proven prep/cooking experience is preferred, including experience as a line chef, restaurant cook, sous chef, prep cook.
• Understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
• Accuracy and speed in assigned tasks.
• High degree of reliability and availability
• This location is open Thursday-Sunday and requires weekend availability.
• Bilingual in English is preferred but will consider Spanish speaking only candidates.

Pay Range

$22 - $25 USD
