About the Position We are seeking an MRI Technologist (PRN) to join Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center GW Health. The MRI Technologist reports to the designated leader within the Imaging Department and provides clinical services according to MRI practice standards. The role involves acting as a resource to students and other technologists while ensuring optimal department functions and maintaining patient safety. Responsibilities The MRI Technologist administers sound patient care practices in accordance with hospital policies and procedures, demonstrates magnetic safety for patients, staff, and self, maintains equipment, exam rooms and work areas in a neat and safe condition, and completes ancillary tasks to ensure efficient and consistent departmental operations. The technologist also provides support as a resource to MRI students and other technologists. Qualifications Requirements: High School Graduate or equivalent required. Diploma from certified school of Radiology required. BS or MS in healthcare preferred. Current ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT required. Two (2) years of experience as an MRI lead and acute care experience preferred. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA). Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, regulatory or accreditation requirements. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; ability to compute rates, ratios, percent, and to draw and interpret bar graphs; ability to calculate figures and percentages. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form and solve practical problems in situations where only limited standardization exists. Demonstrates knowledge and ensures compliance with regulatory bodies such as The Joint Commission, American College of Radiology (ACR), and Title 22 standards and guidelines. Demonstrates compliance with hospital policies and procedures at all times. Demonstrates strong leadership, organization, communication, and interpersonal skills. Demonstrates ability to relate to clinical personnel and medical staff, as well as ability to interact well with the public. Must have knowledge of PC and applications.
