Registered Respiratory Therapist

Responsible and accountable for the set up and operation of various types of Respiratory Therapy equipment to be utilized in patient assessment, diagnosis and treatment of respiratory disease and/or illness.

Education: High School Diploma or GED, Graduate of an AMA approved Respiratory Therapy program.

Experience: 1 year acute care experience preferred

License/Certification: Current Arkansas Respiratory License in good standing. Registered by the NBRC or eligible by being a graduate of an AMA approved Respiratory Therapy program.

BLS required.

Preferred Education: Associates Degree, ACLS certification, ACCS certification, PALS, NRP

Must have the ability to move about freely and stand and walk for extended periods of time, respond quickly to emergencies, occasionally bend, squat, and twist, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds and push and/or pull rolling equipment up to 400 pounds using proper body mechanics. Will spend eight hours or more in front of computer, monitor or similar screen utilizing keyboard and/or mouse. Must have a keen sense of hearing and visual acuity. Must be able to handle critical and highly stressful situations with efficiency and composure.

Clinical setting in hospital environment for both inpatients and outpatients

US Citizenship Required

Minimum 1 Year exp as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

BLS required

License: Current Arkansas Respiratory License in good standing.
