Job Details Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (Travel RN) Specialty: Telemetry Nursing / Cardiothoracic Acute Care Location: Peoria, Illinois 61637 Start Date: 09/28/2026 Assignment Length: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour days (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM) Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed hours Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,130 - $2,250 Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend Holiday Requirement: Rotation required Charting System: EPIC Float: May float to other general medical units as needed Job Requirements Active Illinois RN license or confirmation that the licensure process has been initiated Minimum of 1 year of recent Registered Nurse experience; telemetry or acute care experience preferred BLS certification required ACLS recommended Strong EKG interpretation and telemetry strip reading skills Experience with medication titration and drips, including Cardizem and heparin Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced cardiac and thoracic nursing environment Willingness to provide care in a drug-free clinical setting and complete required screening Responsibilities Provide safe, high-quality nursing care to telemetry and cardiothoracic patients in an acute care hospital setting Monitor and assess patients with diagnoses such as MI, CHF, A-fib, COPD, pacemaker/AICD placement, and post-operative thoracic conditions Interpret telemetry rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition Titrate medications and manage ordered drips according to protocol and physician orders Collaborate with charge nurses, monitor techs, physicians, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team Support patients requiring respiratory equipment such as CPAP and BiPAP when appropriate Maintain accurate documentation in EPIC and communicate patient updates clearly Adapt to floating assignments within general medical units as needed Promote a professional, compassionate, and patient-centered care environment Why Travel to Peoria, Illinois?
