Job Title: Operating Room Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years recent experience required License: State license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: Strong orthopedic experience required Description: The position is for an Operating Room Registered Nurse. The nurse will float as needed per facility requirements. Weekend commitment is required every other weekend and every other holiday. The traveler is responsible for coordinating any additional shift coverage. Automatic disqualifiers include having any hits on the license. All requests for time off must be included in the initial application. Travelers may still apply if they have submitted an application for the required state license. Interviews will be conducted via phone or virtual formats. The facility mandates a COVID-19 vaccination with exemptions allowed for medical and religious reasons. A flu vaccination is also required with similar exemptions permitted. The role includes working with various surgical procedures, including but not limited to lobe resection and total joint replacement. The nurse should be proficient in charting and have experience with telemetry assessments. The nurse will independently measure and interpret telemetry strips for patient care. First-time travelers may be considered based on experience. Previous employees are not eligible for the traveler positions. Previous travelers may return if in good standing.
