Power People Strategy in Aerospace as an HR Business Partner

Location: Kinston, NC | Payrate $42 - $45

**PDS Tech Commercial **is seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to partner with a leading aerospace organization and help build the people strategy behind the next generation of aircraft.

The Role

As an HR Business Partner , you’ll serve as a trusted and influential partner to business leaders, helping optimize organizational performance through strategic HR guidance, data-driven insights, employee advocacy, and effective change management.

You’ll work closely with leaders and employees in an aerospace manufacturing environment where your expertise will directly support workforce effectiveness, leadership capability, organizational design, and a strong workplace culture.

You’ll operate with a high degree of autonomy, tackle complex HR challenges, and serve as a mentor and resource within the HRBP function.

What You'll Do

Strategic HR Partnership

• Build strong partnerships with business leaders and strategically influence people-related decision-making.

• Identify HR challenges and opportunities and develop practical, business-focused solutions.

• Contribute to the development and execution of the People strategy for the assigned business area.

• Advise leaders on organizational design, workforce planning, leadership effectiveness, and other complex people matters.

• Translate workforce and business data into actionable insights.

• Exercise sound independent judgment while operating within established policies and procedures.

• Proactively identify emerging workforce challenges and help foster productive workplace relationships.

Employee Relations & Engagement

• Demonstrate a high level of integrity, ethics, and professionalism in all employee interactions.

• Listen to employees and respond thoughtfully and promptly to workplace concerns.

• Conduct comprehensive HR investigations, document findings, and partner with HR leadership on recommended outcomes.

• Coach managers on performance management, performance gaps, reviews, and building high-performing teams.

• Conduct focus groups, exit interviews, and employee engagement surveys.

• Provide guidance and interpretation of HR policies while supporting compliance with applicable federal, state, and local requirements.

• Participate in workforce development and community relationship initiatives.

Change Management & HR Programs

• Lead and support change management initiatives that help teams navigate organizational transformation.

• Translate business requirements and departmental goals into actionable recommendations for HR Centers of Excellence (COEs).

• Serve as a strategic bridge between COEs and business units to help develop scalable HR programs.

• Participate in cross-functional and cross-divisional HR initiatives, projects, and programs.

• Take an active role in organizational design initiatives, including restructuring teams, improving team dynamics, and strengthening cross-functional collaboration.

• Identify opportunities for innovative solutions and creative problem-solving.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Your Boarding Pass: Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Organizational Development, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience .

• 6+ years of progressive HR experience in an HR Center of Excellence (COE), HRBP, or generalist capacity.

• Experience working with HRIS platforms such as ADP, Workday, or SAP .

• Demonstrated experience providing HR guidance to leaders and navigating complex employee relations matters.

• Strong understanding of HR policies, practices, and employment requirements.

• Excellent communication, coaching, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills.

• Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment in a complex business environment.

• Ability to work 100% onsite in an aerospace manufacturing environment.

• Ability to travel domestically and internationally, up to 10% .

• This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.

Preferred

• 3+ years of aerospace industry experience .

• 3+ years of experience in a multifunctional international environment .

• PHR or SHRM-CP certification strongly desired.

• Experience supporting organizational design, workforce planning, change management, and leadership development.

• Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment.

Pay Details: $42.00 to $45.00 per hour
