Role Description The Mental Health Therapist will provide outpatient counseling and psychotherapy to individuals, couples, and families, delivering services in a hybrid format based in Oakbrook Terrace, IL with some work-from-home flexibility. Daily responsibilities include completing biopsychosocial assessments, developing treatment plans, conducting individual and family therapy sessions, and maintaining accurate clinical documentation in accordance with ethical and regulatory standards. The therapist will engage in case management activities as needed, such as coordinating care with primary care providers, schools, community agencies, and other behavioral health professionals. The role also involves monitoring client progress, updating treatment goals, providing crisis intervention when appropriate, and participating in periodic team consultation. This is a contract role, offering flexibility in scheduling while requiring reliable attendance and adherence to practice policies. Qualifications Demonstrated skills in Treatment Planning and Mental Health assessment, including the ability to formulate evidence-based, goal-oriented plans of care. Experience in Social Work and Case Management, with the capacity to coordinate resources and collaborate with community and healthcare providers. Competence in Family Therapy and working with diverse family systems, including couples, parents, and youth. Active licensure or license-eligible status (e.g., LCSW, LCPC, LMFT, or equivalent) in the state of Illinois. Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, or a closely related mental health field. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build therapeutic rapport across diverse cultures and backgrounds. Comfort with hybrid work, including secure telehealth platforms, electronic health records, and basic technology tools.
