CNC Machinist

Machinist IIIHourly Pay Range: $37.25-$41.00All Applicants must comply with ITAR Requirements. US Citizens or Permanent Residents onlySummary: Reporting to the Head of Machining Operations, the Machinist III is responsible for operating manual and CNC machine tools, including 5-axis gantry mills, vertical and horizontal milling centers, horizontal and vertical turning centers, etc. in support of production and development machining. Critical thinking and collaboration are required to evaluate and resolve unique equipment and product issues in a demanding production environment.Core Responsibilities:All functions of a Machinist IICommunicate with other departments to keep product flowingEnsure the personnel and equipment are available to achieve the safety, quality, and productivity standards of the workcenterProper selection of tools per applicationApply understanding of CAM programs including but not limited to: Mastercam, Fusion 360Apply advanced understanding of probe cycles and functionsRead and interpret customer and internal drawings related to checking partsInspect 1st article parts that do not require CMM, GOM, VeriSerf layoutAdditional Responsibilities:Other duties as assignedQualifications:Must be able to comply with ITAR and EAR residency requirementsDemonstrated knowledge of machining procedures and practicesExperience in using and/or programming manual, semi-automated or automated tools and machines (lathes, grinders etc.)Proven track record of operating safe facilities.Fluent in English; Bi-lingual is a plusEducation/Experience:High school diploma or equivalentA minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment operating CNC mills and lathes.(with) completion of vocational training or an apprenticeshipSkills:Required:All skills required of a Machinist IIEffective communication techniques for collaboration with other departmentsMethods for ensuring personnel and equipment are available to achieve the safety, quality, and productivity standards of the workcenterDemonstrate proper selection of tools per applicationUnderstanding of CAM programs including but not limited to: Mastercam, Fusion 360Advanced understanding of probe cycles and functionsAbility to read and interpret customer and internal drawings related to checking partsInspect 1st article parts that don't require CMM, GOM, VeriSerf layout
