Commercial Litigation Paralegal

Legal Search Solutions has partnered with a highly regarded law firm to identify an experienced Commercial Litigation Paralegal for its Tampa office.

This is an excellent opportunity for a strong litigation paralegal seeking a role focused on substantive, billable case work rather than administrative support . The firm has dedicated legal assistants handling traditional administrative responsibilities, allowing its paralegals to concentrate on discovery, eDiscovery, case development, deposition preparation, and other higher-level litigation functions.

The position offers a hybrid remote schedule and the opportunity to work on sophisticated commercial disputes in both Florida state and federal courts.

Position Overview

The Commercial Litigation Paralegal will work closely with attorneys throughout the litigation lifecycle, taking an active role in discovery, document management, case analysis, deposition preparation, and trial support.

The successful candidate will have meaningful commercial litigation experience and be comfortable independently managing substantive assignments in both Florida state and federal court matters .

Key Responsibilities

• Provide substantive paralegal support on commercial litigation matters from inception through resolution.
• Manage all phases of discovery, including drafting and responding to written discovery and coordinating document collection and production.
• Take an active role in eDiscovery , including collection, review, organization, production, and management of electronically stored information.
• Work with attorneys, clients, vendors, and eDiscovery professionals to coordinate large document reviews and productions.
• Review documents for responsiveness, privilege, confidentiality, and other relevant issues.
• Prepare and maintain privilege logs, discovery indexes, chronologies, and other substantive case materials.
• Assist with preparation of pleadings, motions, subpoenas, affidavits, and other litigation documents.
• Assist attorneys with deposition preparation, including witness files, exhibits, deposition summaries, and supporting materials.
• Conduct factual research and analyze documents and evidence for attorney review.
• Assist with preparation for hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
• Prepare exhibits, witness materials, trial notebooks, and other litigation support materials.
• Maintain familiarity with procedural and filing requirements in Florida state and federal courts .
• Coordinate with the firm's legal assistants on administrative and filing-related aspects of assigned matters while maintaining ownership of substantive paralegal responsibilities.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Several years of substantive commercial litigation paralegal experience .
• Strong working knowledge of both Florida state and federal court procedures .
• Meaningful experience with discovery and eDiscovery in sophisticated litigation matters.
• Experience with document review and production, privilege review, discovery responses, and deposition preparation.
• Ability to independently manage substantive assignments and multiple active matters.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to organize and synthesize large volumes of case information.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage competing deadlines.
• Proficiency with litigation technology, document management systems, and Microsoft Office.
• Experience with eDiscovery platforms such as Relativity or comparable systems is strongly preferred.

Compensation & Work Environment

• Salary: $80,000 – $90,000 , commensurate with experience.
• Hybrid remote schedule .
• Position based in Tampa, FL .
• Dedicated paralegal role with administrative support provided by the firm's legal assistants.
