Print Account Manager / Prepress Coordinator

Role Description

The Print House is seeking a full-time, on-site Print Account Manager / Prepress Coordinator to join our front-of-house team.

This hybrid role combines customer account management, project coordination, and prepress preparation. You will serve as the primary point of contact for assigned customers and manage multiple print projects from the initial request through quoting, design, proof approval, production, and completion.

You will also act as the liaison between the customer and graphic designer. Once artwork is approved, you will review and prepare the file for production using Adobe Acrobat and Quite Imposing, verify the job specifications, and add the completed project to the appropriate print list.

This is not a passive customer-service role or a traditional graphic-design position. It requires urgency, accountability, technical accuracy, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage multiple customer accounts and print projects from quote to completion
• Gather complete project specifications, including quantities, dimensions, materials, finishing requirements, deadlines, and delivery information
• Prepare quotes, process orders and purchase orders, and handle order modifications accurately
• Serve as the primary point of contact for customer questions, updates, and issue resolution
• Recommend appropriate print solutions based on the customer’s needs, budget, and timeline
• Identify appropriate opportunities to upsell or expand services
• Act as the liaison between the customer and graphic designer
• Communicate project requirements, revisions, and customer feedback clearly
• Manage proofs, follow up on outstanding approvals, and document final customer approval
• Review approved files for dimensions, bleeds, crop marks, resolution, fonts, color settings, page count, and other print requirements
• Use Adobe Acrobat and Quite Imposing to prepare and impose approved files for production
• Create multi-up, step-and-repeat, cut-and-stack, booklet, gang-up, and other required layouts
• Verify that the final file matches the order specifications and finishing requirements
• Add production-ready jobs to the appropriate print list with clear and accurate instructions
• Coordinate with production to resolve questions, discrepancies, and scheduling concerns
• Monitor projects through completion and communicate changes or delays to the customer
• Coordinate outside-vendor orders when necessary
• Maintain organized records and follow established internal processes

Qualifications

• Previous account-management, customer-service, or project-coordination experience in a deadline-driven environment
• Commercial printing or print-production experience
• Proficiency with Adobe Acrobat Pro
• Experience using Quite Imposing, Quite Imposing Plus, or comparable imposition software
• Working knowledge of Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop
• Understanding of PDF preflight, bleeds, trim sizes, crop marks, safe areas, image resolution, fonts, transparencies, and color spaces
• Knowledge of CMYK, RGB, spot colors, and Pantone colors
• Understanding of common imposition methods and print-production workflows
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organization, attention to detail, problem-solving, and follow-through
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines without becoming overwhelmed
• Ability to accept direction, correction, and ongoing feedback
• Dependable, punctual, and consistent in performance

Experience with digital printing, wide-format production, paper stocks, substrates, finishing, bindery, and outsourced printing is preferred.

Schedule

• Monday through Friday

• No remote or hybrid work

Pay

$52,000–$62,000 annually , based on relevant experience and demonstrated ability.

Candidates with strong commercial-printing knowledge, account-management experience, Adobe proficiency, and hands-on Quite Imposing experience will be positioned toward the higher end of the range based on time spent working with these programs as well as time spent in the print industry.
